3nreignSo a couple things here. I wrote my first Instagram bot around 5 years ago. I also have written bots and social management tools for Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube. I also built an influencer marketing exchange that had over 70k users and automated branding plays until I pivoted to go back to growing brands directly. Why... because ROI sucks when influencers have nothing but fake fans and POD users doing all the engagement. As of today I have roughly 6k+ accounts running on my social media software and I would say 50% of those features are centered around automation while the other half is social listening, manual messaging, and content/ insights. 1.) the “buy followers” and likes people on fivver will be gone the second Instagram updates their UI to not show counts. Slated to happen shortly. Literally atleast 90% of signups we get through our self service dashboard are 13 year old kids looking to ...(more) /r/smallbusiness3 days, 16 hrs agoComment

5lyra1227This. There's social listening software and agencies out there who do nothing but this. You can monitor for specific keywords, positive/negative sentiment, etc. If you're a community manager, it's likely that reporting this stuff is part of your job as well. /r/bangtan6 days, 7 hrs agoComment
6BarrelSurfI suggest looking into social listening tools and doing it manually from there. It'll help to pool conversations and users that are in your relevant field and put them in a place where it's easy for you to like and authentically engage with the user. You'll also get people that are actually interested in what you're posting or whatever your business is therefore improving the quality of your followers. Downside to this is that a good tool is rarely free but that's up to you to decide what's worth it. Our business uses a combination of Hootsuite and Brandwatch but these together with the number of business accounts we monitor (in the 40s) puts our cost for the service in the tens of thousands per year but we only pay for it because it improved our user quality and ROI potential by 10 times that amount when we started using it. You may not need something so advanced and your goals are probably /r/socialmedia6 days, 9 hrs agoComment

8Sunky97Youalso need : 1. Social Media Awareness These days, it is not just enough to be active on one or two social media platforms. The more active you are on different social media platforms, the more audience you’ll capture. The social presence will help you distribute your content better and also increase your audience base. However, if it is all too much to take, zero in on at least a couple of major platforms where you’ll be more active than others. For instance – for fashion vloggers Instagram and Snapchat can be useful whereas for Gamers Twitch and Twitter can be handy. 2. Solid Content research skills Have you seen how YouTube channels like Fine Brothers, FOMO Daily, Philip DeFranco etc come up with new videos almost on a daily basis? This is possible only when you have solid research skills that can help you come up with newer video topics consistently. You c...(more) /r/NewTubers1 wk, 4 days agoComment
9IoselianiI am using my brain and my lifetime of experience. What was the point of the walkout? The employees told management it was going to happen. Management gave them its blessing. Then they took a 2 hour break to vent and went back to work. Its borderline Orwellian. The entire point of a walkout is to cause a disruption to business. Leave long enough to cause an impact. When less than 10% of the company participates in a 2 hour break and all the reporting is quoting people with such integral titles as "social listening strategist" its farcical. Riot will pay lip service and wait out the the media cycle. The average game industry career is quite short. Riot has time on its side . It will simply hire critical positions overseas where you can get away with stuff like 996 without any protest. /r/Games1 wk, 6 days agoComment

16jamakissRespectfully, your question is too broad. Or, their question: “What are the best tools and techniques for the multimedia practitioner?” is too broad. Can you pick a specialization, and then focus on the tools there? If no, then I'd just have a broad answer that touches on everything possible: * social listening * Scheduling * Ad optimization * Content platform * Influencer platform * Keyword research etc This is like asking a doctor: what tools do you use? The answer is going to vary widely based on what type of medicine that person practices. /r/socialmedia2 wks, 4 days agoComment

I'm not sure what kind of agency they're in, but transitioning from Social Media Manager to Art Director is like transitioning from Waiter to Chef. Sure it's possible to do it, but it is not a "logical" jump in the sense that you'd have to learn a completely new skillset and role. That waiter should probably go to culinary school before they hop into that kitchen and start dictating what the new dishes should be. An art director must have command of the Adobe Programs (photoshop, illustrator, indesign, etc. are what art directors use daily) and firm understanding of design principles, concepting/creative thinking, and strategy, and be able to use these to create. Conversely, Social Media Managers are in charge of maintaining a brand's social presence operationally, the distributors of the content if you will. 40ronlucidHi. Are you looking for example case studies as a point of reference? If yes, official blogs of most social listening tools are a goldmine for this these type of projects. I would begin with looking at Netbase, Brandwatch and Crimson Hexagon blogs to get started. The real fun begins once you get a sense of how they're using data to analyze reactions and segment audiences. Using the methodologies listed by them, you can pick a trend or a campaign you're interested in, and try to replicate the analysis using basic Twitter and Reddit search. Note that if you want accuracy, you will have to spend time diving into the data and coming up with insights - but that's what you're signing up for as a social media analyst - so a good taste of the real world. Hope this helps. Let me know if you have specific questions - happy to help. /r/socialmediaanalytics1 month, 4 wks agoComment
41eRock713Hey! We use Meltwater at my organization, but the social tools are too expensive—we use it primarily for press mentions and measuring share of voice that way. If you need to use keyword-centric social listening, you can go wrong with Tweetdeck, Hootsuite, or something similar. They’re a fraction of the price (which you’re probably aware of), and get the job done just as well in my opinion. /r/SocialMediaMarketing2 months agoComment

45adownerYes, there are distinct differences in the concepts. Social monitoring is typically the act of listening to your owned channels and interacting on those. For example, responding when someone @mentions your brand on Twitter, or seeing reactions to your brand posts. social listening is much broader and, typically, leverages query logic to look across part of or all of a social channel. For example, depending on your listening vendor, you may get access to the Twitter decahose (10% of the real-time twitter stream), or the Twitter firehose (the entire Twitter stream). You can also run that query across multiple channels to look for conversations that, while not specifically @mentioning your brand, may be talking about it (it may be misspelled, or a topic of conversation may impact your brand). That is listening for new conversations, but there are also tools that can look at historical channel data to look for /r/DigitalMarketing2 months, 2 wks agoComment

50ivanolo2010There’s a lot of data which can be mined when it comes to finished consumer goods: production, quality control, supply chain, logistics, consumer contacts (complaints, social listening), formulation, market trends, sensory attributes, and the list goes on. This is a long-term process. The company is aligning on a global scale and consolidating business units. PepsiCo is a conglomerate from past acquisitions, and it’s looking to streamline operations. Also, anything that doesn’t directly involve the main business (think IT) will be outsourced to the cheapest bidder. Long-time employees nearing retirement age will be the first to go, along with middle management. The company wants younger, cheaper employees. Don’t ask me how I know all this... 😉 /r/Economics2 months, 3 wks agoComment

73jlmontelloI actually used to work for an ad agency and we actually bought this kind of geolocation data for use in pitches and media buying strategies. Basically, the telecom sells all that data to a service who gets people to 'opt-in' using less than scrupulous means to get the hundreds of thousands or millions of sample they boast access to. I am sure they are having the same meeting we did last year when the Cambridge Analytica incident resulted in multiple social listening tools being booted from access as their own opt-in panels were much of the same less than transparent terms. But this is something to keep in mind that companies ARE selling your personal data to vendors who sell it off to advertisers or anyone else willing to enrich them. We need a real discussion in terms of ethics in PII data collection. Just because it is useful does not mean my peers and I should have it. Locations? What about ad accounts? This is just a start of the questions you might want to ask, but I'd encourage you to try any of the platform you plan to use and see how your workflow feels in it for a few days. 99Big3ggActivision Blizzard and all companies like them engage in what's called social listening. They use software to scan the internet for mentions of their products as well as monitor the social channels that discuss their content. if they respond it just creates more loose ends that become points of contention so generally they are quiet when issues come up. There CMs have been pretty brutally thrown under the bus so I don't blame them. But they see everything. They choose not to engage. CMs being active in subs isn't a good metric to gague devs reliance or even action as a a result of feedback. /r/wow5 months, 1 wk agoComment

112Saint-LeibowitzI’m in a similar situation, where people are often surprised at what I tend to listen to. I think music taste does mean something, albeit less directly. The music people choose to listen to can say something about *why* that person listens to music. Purely for enjoyment? Do they like to dance? Do they have a strong emotional connection to lyrics? To melody? To both? Is their preferred music complex or simple? Does it lend itself more to social listening or solo enjoyment? Does it tell a story? Express feelings they relate to? Is it popular or obscure? What feelings does the music elicit? That motivation changes as people change and their circumstances change. Anyone who has cringed at music their teenage self loved can attest to that! Let’s say we have two people going through a hard time. 122Drama79I'm saying if you have a tweetdeck feed open with the search "WWE Saudi" there's thousands of people already doing it. I've only recently learned about "social listening" from a friend who works in the socials dept for a big tech company. It's fascinating. It takes all the humanity out of social media and just reduces it to neat data - but the results are unarguable. And whichever software suite they're using to do it will know before any human about growing trends, they can measure negative and positive sentiment... it's crazy. What WWE choose to do with that info though is the big question. They may just ignore it for all we know. /r/SquaredCircle7 months, 1 wk agoComment
123Drama79It's the second. WWE's socials team is very on-point. They'll also be doing social listening, so they'll see before we do common terms associated with their brands and stars, so they can react as needed. 197poleslothI run a major brand account and get these kinds of requests a lot. Recommendation: if you want this to have a better chance of going viral, add “hey” in front of the tweet. When you start a tweet with a handle only people who follow that handle will see it in their feed. So something like: Hey @Marvel @MarvelStudios @DisneyPixar @RobertDowneyJr @ChrisEvans @MarkRuffalo @prattprattpratt @TomHolland1996 How many likes on this post to get a friend with terminal ALS spoilers for Avengers 4, or a preview of whats been cut so far, before Jun 30th. 198ohiocitygadflyYou can run up to 3 accounts in Hootsuite for free if you want to give it a shot. However you will need a paid version to do more than schedule 30 posts at a time. I suggest giving it a try. Whatever social media management platform you use, you will still have to log into each account from time to time to swap cover photos, update profile info, etc. You also get more detailed analytics from the individual platforms. Using Hootsuite or another tool helps you see which posts are on deck at any given time. That can be a big time-saver. You can also engage in a little social listening with a geocoded keyword stream in HS. /r/socialmedia11 months, 3 wks agoComment

200pumper911I spent the bulk of my career leading social media for an agency - which includes managing their content, running social ads, social listening / community management, among other. It's not as simple as you are describing though with "I'm looking to launch a product or service". That was more in the first two years of my career, but since social media is so commonplace, most businesses had an established presence and were looking to take it to the next level (usually worked with medium to large companies). Now I'm more focused on Influencer marketing in particular and leading strategy around that for major brands. It's fun! /r/ChoosingBeggars11 months, 3 wks agoComment

202ohiocitygadflyI would do a social media audit of your competitors to see what works/does’t work for them. Then I would engage in some social listening (Brandwatch, Sysomos or SocialRank if you want to focus on Insta) to find out what conversations your fans or gamers in general are having. Then analyze the data from both projects. The audit will help you reverse engineer your competitors’ strategies, and the social listening will help your brand “talk” like one of its followers. Also, keep in mind the Instagram algorithm really values engagement — so quick-response questions pay off for some brands (Kate Spade would give away a handbag in response to masking fans to comment with their fave emoji). You can also use up to 30 hashtags which helps the algorithm place you. If you use an iPhone you can save them all as a shortcut and post them in a comment. 205sixtwothreeeThanks for the feedback! Spredfast is pretty expensive too. Spredfast has unlimited features, while Sprinklr you pay for every service. All true. It’s slow, messy and feels incomplete. But I’d also consider the category of language that I think is more important: how the specific audience you are targeting actually talk. So the sources of talking with those people directly, in online groups, via influencers, niche blogs etc I think are much richer sources than the other generalized sources listed above. 265RedBreadRotesBrotYou can add CoinLoop to your list. They developed an AI that looks at price data and dredges sentiment data using "social listening" to give buy/sell tips. 266PhantomTrouperNot really privacy as in Spotify abusing your data, but more the issue that you can't manage people following you and finding you. Your music sessions only stay private for a limited amount of time. With Deezer I have a toggle that makes me and my music invisible permanently for everyone. Spotify's distinguished feature is the social listening and integration with other apps. That's why I understand they don't want users to become fully private. It's just a thing that I prefer and thus I chose Deezer. /r/androidapps1 yr, 3 months agoComment

269Hoonigan09CX Social is a pretty great platform. It provides the ability to handle most every social channel and offers some useful insights. It has some areas that need improvement however. At this time there is no way to schedule posts with videos in them, which require users to publish natively within Facebook etc. The other area it struggles with is social listening, but i would say the app in general was not designed with that as a priority. /r/socialmedia1 yr, 3 months agoComment

272wmlowLol, you're naive. Do you really think EA doesn't know what is the social buzz surrounding them? I'll tell you this, a company as big as EA have their own social listening team whereby they track/ monitor keywords, trends, as well as the social buzz surrounding their game/ product/ company brand. EA knows what are our concerns, but either just too lazy or doesn't find it value-adding to them in terms of effort and profit. /r/FIFA1 yr, 3 months agoComment

275bnels-BLOCKvThe BLOCKv platform already allows for social listening. For example, you can create a vAtom that listens to a certain hashtag on Twitter. One of our videos on the YouTube channel shows how a collectible stamp of Peter Diamandis can listen to Twitter. The example shows Peter growing a mustache based on a hashtag post. It's just an example, but can be implemented in the development of a vAtom. 276Chizomsk> It's mostly in social media that people learn about something that is not right, and it's social media that's creating an uproar and wanting change. First of all, Change.org's model is built on social media. It considers sharing/ advocacy/etc throughout the process. But what it does, that social media does not, is channel the energy/opinion into something much more quantifiable. "Twitter is abuzz about X" doesn't mean much, especially in the world of bots. Facebook virality is harder to spot, unless you're using social listening tools. "We've had 77,000 signatures telling our local council to lay off the homeless is a much more targeted message, and much more likely to have an effect. 277hey_its_maxWhat they think is that Kushner and Cambridge Analytica provided data to the Russian effort, helping them target specifically where to hit and how. It would be less strange if Russians had targeted whole swing states, but there was a concentrated effort to attack specific counties with just enough voters to turn the tide, using specific messaging. Cambridge Analytica is a sophisticated social listening machine, but they lack the manpower the Russians have for this sort of thing. That said, it's still more difficult to prove the coordination, and it's entirely possible Trump truly didn't understand what they were doing. It's difficult to explain social listening to someone who wants to learn, and Trump certainly seems to resist learning that doesn't validate his ego. Anything that suggest his own charisma wasn't the reason he won isn't going to go over well. /r/esist1 yr, 3 months agoComment
278dolookatmyusernameI never really liked Spotify. It's focused too much on social listening. You don't even have the option to not sharing what you listen. 280Sherlocked_That's true too. There is value in just knowing it'll blow over. I would also propose, instead of worrying, trying to find what these date correlate with and see if we can predict the next one. If we can then it adds a check mark to the reliable column and we keep going testing. I feel like something (relatively) brand new like crypto is influenced by less variables than something like the stock market, and hopefully easier to find. I just starting looking into this but I'm trying to build something in data studio, just need to find a social listening tool that does what I need it to. Of course that could all be a lost cause too and theres nothing there, but it's more fun than patiently holding ha. /r/CryptoCurrency1 yr, 3 months agoComment
281showershittersSo there are a few key principles to remember with influencers. The first is that no matter who a user on a social platform is, they are more likely to be friends with more popular people. You can read more here: https://www.economist.com/blogs/economist-explains/2013/04/economist-explains-why-friends-more-popular-paradox If money is very tight, you could go through your customers connections on platform and identify the most popular people they follow. You can look at this as a very informal nearest neighbor model, if a customer likes your page and they like this popular page, then there is a chance that other similar potential customers might like that page as well. If you need to be cheap and can program, you should be able to webscrape and run network analysis in R. https://nycdatascience.com/blog/student-works/find-twitter-influencers-through-social-network-analysis/ If money is not a concern, loo /r/marketing1 yr, 3 months agoComment

As far as I’m concerned, no link analysis tool identifies new links more quickly than Ahrefs.. But not much more than high numbers and site index. • Open Site Explorer. Here’s the last of the big three link analysis tools. Open Site Explorer (a Moz product) definitely has a much smaller index than Majestic and Ahrefs; • SEMrush. 298TheM3ltdownYes, I understand it. I work in the industry (and have for years). Netflix bought distribution rights. You're comparing apples to oranges. For example, Disney owns ABC and ABC Studios (one of SHIELD's production companies). Hence, it's completely different. They get input because they're part of the same family and are actually involved in production. Marvel definitely gets input from Netflix in the form of viewer data, social listening insights, and etc., but Marvel is running the show and then selling the rights for distribution. Again, Netflix didn't give Marvel money for production. Good grief. /r/television1 yr, 4 months agoComment

322onesparrowIt’s an admirable plan, and I’m not saying it won’t work, but it’s got a few problems beyond your control. Twitter is well aware of both the public push to shit down Trump and the dangerous game they’re playing. They’re got a decent social listening team compared to other large social networks. They’ve also had similar pushes from their audiences and responded by purging Nazis, banning people like Stone and Milo, etc. They feel the Trump situation is unique, and in fairness to them, it is. A much stronger approach would be to create a campaign directed at Congress and the WH itself. The power dynamic is much more concrete there, it takes away the bullshit free speech argument, and people there have an immediate interest in not getting nuked as opposed to an abstract one. 326EliasArosemenaHi! Thanks for the feedback. 1. You have to be very accurate with your targeting when making your ad so it will reach them. You need to break down the buyer persona (tech editors) you want to target. Also, be very creative and compelling when crafting the copy so they will click on your ad. 2. Using tools like Mention or Brand24 for social listening and monitoring when your competitors are mentioned. 3. So far I've only used AppAnnie and Mobile Action. 327whitecompassI strongly strongly steer them away from using social sentiment as input for product innovation. 328dalco>What is your criteria for accuracy? That depends on the subject matter. I will say, B2C products, you are going to get much closer with their standard rulesets. (McDonalds sentiment, for example, is going to get pretty close). But anytime you stray into areas like infrastructure, local government, or B2B tech, you are going to need to spend a few hours custom writing rulesets and cleaning data. I've used Brandwatch, Crimson Hexagon, Nuvi, and Visible at length. I've demoed nearly every other large social listening tool in the sector. In my experience, all of them ranged between 25% - 40% sentiment incorrectly classified. /r/dataisbeautiful1 yr, 5 months agoComment
329dalcoUsing social listening software? I'm not sure on the exact number. A lot of sports teams have trouble implementing it because they struggle with getting actionable data through it. It's necessarily not useful for a football team to know that 2 million twitter authors are pissed they lost a game. So you have to get an analyst that knows how to get the right data out of the platform, and a marketing department that knows exactly what kind of questions to ask. /r/dataisbeautiful1 yr, 5 months agoComment

And honestly, companies are doing this already by hiring social media managers and using social listening tools. How is any of this a secret or news? If anyone discovered there was corporate take-over of a sub then everyone would just make another sub like when r/trees got migrated on. And it would be the biggest PR disaster of the year. /r/technology1 yr, 5 months agoComment

345cyanletters> As long as the majority of people use Spotify then that’s always the winner for me. Spotify is banking on people like you, but the tides are changing. Apple Music is growing fast and actually has more active listeners. They’re blowing away Spotify in terms of streaming play count. Apple Music just added social listening this year and I’m finding more and more friends switching. It also has iMessage integration which is nice. Spotify nailed their social listening aspect, but I think Apple is finally starting to figure out. /r/apple1 yr, 6 months agoComment

359FishTheYour post is vague. "social listening" and "Network data anlaysis" are broad, yet you ask for the BEST way and for people to give it to you STRAIGHT. Forgive me if I'm coming across crass. If gaming is your audience, what subest of that audience fits your ideal "customer" profile? Do you want people to buy something? If you just want to drive gamers, and people who like to view gaming, pay some twitch streamers to give you reach. Of course I know Facebook ads are only a sliver of the overall picture. Which is why I don't understand what you're trying to do. Building EVERYTHING from scratch with a small team sounds like a daunting task. Especially considering the size and scope of platforms like Facebook, Google, and other companies that have built fortunes developing digital methods to gain "reach." /r/datascience1 yr, 6 months agoComment

363zanglangOh you have no idea. There's a new social marketing term called "social listening". Essentially, companies recently learnt that they can now make impactful business decisions simply by scraping social networks for data. All those comments made by consumers who just wanted to vent their thoughts about a particular product, or a marketing campaign they just saw on TV, etc... all unfiltered thoughts. If random John Doe tweets about disliking the taste of a diet soda, there's a very good chance that their marketing team will see it. My job involves a lot of social listening - essentially using software to track posts on social media. After the campaign took off, a coworker decided that she would use some free time to monitor that hashtag for a day. The results were insane - even after filtering out retweets and non-US and nonenglish content, there were over 200,000 unique posts on twitter talking about sexual assaults that people experienced, and contrary to most things on the internet, the userbase for that hashtag was overwhelmingly female. We didn't monitor past 24 hours, but it was still incredibly sobering to see just how large scale the issue still is today, especially since the groups of people most likely to experience this stuff generally isn't even on twitter So thank you for sharing. 371lowcountrymanOk? What I'm trying to do is offer tactics that work, but for them to work, the marketer has to put in some effort. Not a fan of crossing my fingers and hope for the best moves. Listen, I'm just passionate about the subject and want people to win big. 5 hashtags can be a lot more effective and will certainly look cleaner if used correctly. I tell my team that once you've posted the content, your job has just begun. I will certainly agree that depending on the clients' needs, social listening tools mentioned above can be extremely helpful, and sometimes necessary. /r/socialmedia1 yr, 7 months agoComment

Audience Intelligence: Analyze any topic or audience. It could be related to your brand or it could be analyzing a particular group of people. This can be done in three ways: Analyzing owned followers, earned followers or 3rd party audiences. 3. Influencer Intelligence: A feature apt for your needs at this point in time, it allows you to deep dive and know any individual better. You can know their social authority, followers, their personality, interest, etc. 4. On Demand Research: This allows you to carry surveys in a jiffy and get answer to your problems and questions. 407TonyzToneThat's true. social listening methods are much more established with text and Facebook and Twitter have that advantage. The thing is that Snapchat has some serious user numbers. Not just in new users but in returning users. I wouldn't be surprised if Snapchat gets more use from its average user than Facebook's basic platform does. Facebook is just integrated into almost every app and website so even without using it, you're still using it. But I digress, Snapchat has serious activity from its users and it can develop some interesting technologies around it. Check this out, they even use Xbox as their example: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customer-engagement/social-engagement/media/analytics-conversation-view-social-engagement.jpg /r/xboxone1 yr, 11 months agoComment
425garrynskHey, guys! I'm building a pet-project for social listening. For those who don't know what it is: it is when you can search any keyword over social networks, blogs, web pages, etc. I want to open it in the future, so can you tell me, which platforms do you want to see there. Also, I want to include a search over chats (didn't think about that much): Slack, Intercom, a Facebook messenger. What are your suggestions? P.S.: the difference from current platforms is in deep learning technology. Now competitors use NLP and machine learning, which produce a lot of nonrelevant results. /r/startups1 yr, 11 months agoComment

436NanaWasSoCoolThis is one of those topics that can go either way. (There may be some geek speak sprinkled below) Personally.. I would have a strategy in place.. as well as requirements of the account holder.. X posts during Y days with the item being the focus.. Z hashtags devoted to the brand, the shop name..etc..etc.. (will they post it on their other social media pages like Facebook as well? ) Matching 'ambassadors' with products.. to those with a 'relevant' audience .. and relevant audience that actually BUYS is the golden ticket for one side of the equation.. then Weigh that against the cost of the item, including your TIME to make the product Bathing suits were mentioned: Using that as an example.. How many followers are just gawking at bits and butts vs the target audience who would want to wear that same item? How many are just reciprocal followers? How many are bogus, purchased followers /r/Etsy1 yr, 11 months agoComment

441MunkythemonkeyI think a lot of us have been there and done that. My advice is to plan your time carefully and use tools to help your job. Don't take things a day at a time; plan ahead by managing your schedule on a weekly basis. For example, devote a few hours on Monday to plan content for the following week. Do it all in one shot so you don't have to switch gears from community management to content creation so often. Have specific times every day when you would handle community management - don't do it ad-hoc or you'll overdo it and burn out. Are you using a scheduling tool like Buffer? Try it. Cross post content across different platforms to maximize efficiency. Use a social listening tool like Digimind to keep track of your community. That keeps everything in the one window so you won't need to alt-tab as much. Most of all, pace yourself. You can't be everywhere at every time. Set your schedule and stick to it /r/socialmedia1 yr, 11 months agoComment
442marketinghack3rIMO - they rely on tools and services which don't offer the granular level of flexibility afforded by other options - which are essential for granualr level control in marketing. - they have no coding ability - = they forsake the power afforded by being able to harness the power of APIs in social marketing for everything from sentiment analysis + social listening to competitor analysis + campaign analysis. - they dont grasp the science behind basic social marketing - graph theory, graph measures of influence.- - they think there's a tool for everything. - they have no ability to create a meaningful SEO audit, social media auti, brand audit, competitor analysis. - their own website fails every manual and automatic tool test to see if it complies with even basic web standards.. the list is endless.. on the internet, everyone's an expert. /r/GrowthHacking1 yr, 11 months agoComment
443reesesbootI agree, but in my situation music would be played via bluetooth when friends come over for the living room. More social listening. I'm just concerned about all these new HDR standards that keep creeping up than I'm completely foreign to and don't want to buy antiquated hardware right out of the gate. /r/BudgetAudiophile1 yr, 12 months agoComment

449ineedajobfastHeh man your not doing too bad but one thing that became incredibly apparent to me , your barely posting your music. A music artist trying to promote sound visually on Instagram ? That's like a visual artist ( picasso ) trying to sell his pictures on the radio. I would definitely make sure at least three posts a week have some music. It doesn't have to be the whole song , you can do a 30 second cut of a song and different songs intermingled throughout the week so a handful of cuts will last an entire month. If you're feeling burnout you definitely need to get a schedule and it might as well be an auto poster. Go sign up for dlvr.it (deliver it) and start getting your entire months worth of social media scheduled in one day. That means outside of special posts you'll spend 12 days a year to have consistent posting 365 times in one year. You'll be able to schedule your posts to all your platf /r/socialmedia2 yrs agoComment

Tracking Tips

Partials: By default "partials" are enabled. This means that, for example, if you create a tracker for toys - posts about toystory will be saved. If you disable partials then only the specific word toys will be tracked.

Spaces: Allowing partials? Spaces in your tracker can be quite useful. Use them to help you track a specific prefix/suffix.

Ex: If you track "hate", words like "whatever" will count as a result. Adding a space before it like so " hate" would only pick up things containing "hate", "hateful" & "hated"

You do not need to wrap phrases in quotes!

*deleting a tracker will also remove all archived results and statistics that the tracker produced

I got more help and information here, especially from Anthony who I will forever be grateful to along my learning journey (as his name sticks in my head due to multiple conversations). I mostly use Instagram if I want to see pics of people’s vape set ups. Which I do but sometimes I just want to see how a device actually looks and with X tank lol. Yeah I like aesthetics just like everyone else. I get reddit alerts of news from here vs the other. I haven’t checked the other in a while but I think I asked a question and went nowhere so stick to here because of all the help. Juul for 3.5 years, to pod mods, to sub ohming, next hopefully learning the difference between RDA and RTA and expanding. It’s become a hobby! I don’t deny. Also there is no judgment which I appreciate 100% more than anything even being a n00b still :)

So a couple things here. Literally atleast 90% of signups we get through our self service dashboard are 13 year ol...(more)

This. There's social listening software and agencies out there who do nothing but this. You can monitor for specific keywords, positive/negative sentiment, etc. If you're a community manager, it's likely that reporting this stuff is part of your job as well.

I suggest looking into social listening tools and doing it manually from there. You may not need something so advanced and you...(more)

Marketing. You need to be talking in the space your potential clients are talking. social listening, search for "twitch emote"or something on twitter and change the filter to recent and see if anyone has been looking for an artist. Etc so many ways to market yourself.
