Tracking Tips

Partials: By default "partials" are enabled. This means that, for example, if you create a tracker for toys - posts about toystory will be saved. If you disable partials then only the specific word toys will be tracked.

Spaces: Allowing partials? Spaces in your tracker can be quite useful. Use them to help you track a specific prefix/suffix.

Ex: If you track "hate", words like "whatever" will count as a result. Adding a space before it like so " hate" would only pick up things containing "hate", "hateful" & "hated"

You do not need to wrap phrases in quotes!

*deleting a tracker will also remove all archived results and statistics that the tracker produced

Medicine kicks in. Can't stay in bed Get up, pace around room Get hungry. Wanna go eat, but video games. Twenty minutes of fucking off. Didn't eat or play any video games Shit. Ok. Grab phone. Go downstairs. reddit alert! ADHD sub time!!!! Another 15 mins just lost. Goddamn it. Time to negotiate Grab bowl and milk. Reddit for 2 minutes. Get cereal. Pour cereal and milk REDDIT 20 mins later, realize cereal is soupy. Fuck it. Not hungry anyway. Dump it. Wash out the bowl. Reddit. YouTube. The Umbrella Academy 6 hours later. I DIDN'T EAT ALL DAY BUT I DID POUR MY CEREAL AND WASH THE DISH OUT!! Still a motherfucking boss.

Use an RSS reader, or a third party app. I used reddit alerts on iOS until I got an RSS extension.

You want to find companies to sell hampers to? Or consumers? social listening tools track user comments: usually not so much brands.

Any social listening tool should work. They'll likely send you a link rather than authorizing you via cookie to access additional content.

Okay....so...I made a mistake and got this reddit alert about some viral post on BeautyBoxes about the January Allure beauty box. It had the Sunday Riley CEO Oil and the new SR A+ retinol. So, I jumped onto Amazon, signed up, got my box. Then, because...well, I'm ME...I had to have another. So, I jumped onto Allure's site, and got another subscription. The second one is due to arrive today. I just emailed Allure to cancel my BB subscription through them, but plan on keeping the Amazon one (for now). Then! I noticed that New Beauty has a beauty box...called Test Tube, and it runs $30 and will contain a full sized Sunday Riley A+ retinol serum in that box (it runs $85). So, I joined that subscription. I hope I'm not going down the rabbit hole here. Has anyone else gone down that rabbit hole of beauty box subscriptions? What were/are some of the pluses...(more)

You could benefit from a social listening tool, but most of them aren't free :/

Because when you are gifted gold, you are sent a PM from reddit alerting you to it, and it tells you that if you want to thank the anonymous person who bought it you can reply to that message with your gratitude and your gifter will be sent it. Editing your comment does fuck all except to make you look good to everyone else who will stumble across your comment for the first time. The person who gilded it will not be alerted to your edit, so they won't see it. You're basically going out of your way to shout into the wind, in a way that doesn't truly express your gratitude or acknowledge the gifter at all. The person who is gilded is explicitly told how to contact the anonymous gifter, and the process couldn't be easier. By choosing to edit their comment they're ignoring it and instead pandering to everyone else by looking grateful, when really they're being ungrateful by not thanking ...(more)

Reddit and news articles are not really news sources (I found this post through social listening, case in point). None of these features you named here actually are, most tools do all these things. Comprehensive analysis of data with some AI that could give you all the insights is what I'd personally be interested to see, but of course, it's very difficult to accomplish. Brandwatch started to implement AI in their products but it's still very very basic.
