Tracking Tips

Partials: By default "partials" are enabled. This means that, for example, if you create a tracker for toys - posts about toystory will be saved. If you disable partials then only the specific word toys will be tracked.

Spaces: Allowing partials? Spaces in your tracker can be quite useful. Use them to help you track a specific prefix/suffix.

Ex: If you track "hate", words like "whatever" will count as a result. Adding a space before it like so " hate" would only pick up things containing "hate", "hateful" & "hated"

You do not need to wrap phrases in quotes!

*deleting a tracker will also remove all archived results and statistics that the tracker produced

i guess, build your own then, run on your own server + store your own data .... Extracting data from the Facebook + Twitter APIs [and storing it ] is a cinch here's some guides i wrote which might be of use to you guys 1. creating a twitter app [to get authorization for Twitter API] https://marketinghacker.blog/blog/guide-creating-a-twitter-app-for-marketers/ 2. extracting data from Twitter [social listening] => https://marketinghacker.blog/blog/building-an-automated-social-competition-lead-generation-tool-for-twitter-case-study-code/ then of course once you have the data, you can save to database/csv/email it to yourself, or whatever. the alternative of course is to use an off the shelf tool like Nodexl Pro http://www.smrfoundation.org/nodexl/ which is an excel extension with importers for Twitter, Facebook + more, and enabling you to save (and analyze) the data easily. This ...(more)

Nice to know! I also work in social listening and was wondering if I could get one of our data guys to pull this today. I think Ossof's clever hashtag game has really helped

A bit of data to be cautiously optimistic about: I work for a company that does social listening. During some downtime this morning, I set up an analysis of social media posts about each candidate. In raw volume Ossof is blowing Handel out of the water, 68% to 32%, and Ossoff has more positive and less negative sentiment than Handel. In terms of engagement (retweets, like she, etc) Ossoff is beating Handel 60%-40%. Take these numbers with a huge grain of salt, but my company also analyzed the Presidential election and found that Trump had a significant lead in social media enthusiasm

The people doing that typically don't need to "read" the site in question. Microsoft social listening scans various social networks and creates tickets in Dynamics CRM (now D365) based on keywords and tone analysis. Check this out, they even use Xbox as their example: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customer-engagement/social-engagement/media/analytics-conversation-view-social-engagement.jpg

Hey, guys! I'm building a pet-project for social listening. For those who don't know what it is: it is when you can search any keyword over social networks, blogs, web pages, etc. I want to open it in the future, so can you tell me, which platforms do you want to see there. Also, I want to include a search over chats (didn't think about that much): Slack, Intercom, a Facebook messenger. What are your suggestions? P.S.: the difference from current platforms is in deep learning technology. Now competitors use NLP and machine learning, which produce a lot of nonrelevant results.
